Last year it was 75 years ago 1 Jevnaker Scouts was founded in Norway Boy Scout Association. The group have been heavily involved in this year's championships in scouting, so the celebration was somewhat exposed, says Geir Olsen in 1 Jevnaker.
One of the 75th anniversary was a small exhibition on the NM-square. quelle In a tent was exhibited images from 1st Smooth Akers early career. And you could meet old scouts from Jevnaker, even dating back to its inception in 1936. The first scout
Rolf Pettersen Gjersem was the first scout raised in Jevnaker. He was one of five who in 1936 took the train to Guildford to be taken up by the platoon leader Harald Løvdokken. - We took the train to Guildford to be admitted. When we took the train back home, we were happy to have been spies, says Rolf Gjersem. quelle
Gjersem, now almost 90 years old, lives today in Raufoss, but was visiting the NM scouting to visit his old group. He met including Odvar Næsset, who was one of the others raised this first day. But Næsset was "a little further back in the line," then commented when they met.
Scout Efforts need money and Rolf Gjersem says that in the early days including selling fruit. - We sold apples and cherries, and went partly to workers' housing quelle to the glassworks to sell. It was a little embarrassing, but it went well. We got sold everything! Says Gjerseum.
In addition, they visited one of the big farmers quelle in the area to ask for a support. We got 100 million to the flag, I mean to remember, says Gjersem and continues: - It was a little nerveprirrende to visit him, I'm still a little tremor of thinking about it. (100 million at the time equivalent to about 3200 dollars today.) Many images
The exhibition at the NM had many photos from the past. The pictures show the famous scout camp life situations and cooking. But one thing has been a little different today than 75 years ago. In 1938 Jevnaker scouts on the circuit camp on Filtvedt. The transport went by truck. Scouts and equipment put on the planet! More Photos from 1st Smooth Akers anniversary exhibition in NM
