Researchers ax at Arizona State University have studied Ronald Reagan, who was US president between 1981 and 1989, writes the New York Times. Not so much because he was a president, but more because there are prints of all public speech he made during his years in power.
They found no change in the language pattern of George Bush. With Reagan, however, scientists saw him, especially towards the end of his presidency, frequently repeated words and replaced ax with different nouns such as "matter", while the number of unique words fell.
